TOWARD BUILDING QATARI HERITAGE EXPRESSIONS’ REPOSITORY

Abstract

This is a Master’s thesis document, that aims to present and elaborate formally the traditional expressions of different Qatari dialects. The data have been collected from both primary and secondary sources, that included: interviews with Qatari participants, and online/ offline published data. As a result, a repository of Qatari heritage expressions with English translation will be created, that hopefully can be used widely and internationally as formal reference._x000D_ This thesis is an attempt to build an electronic heritage Qatari expressions’ repository, on which other contributors might add and improve to have bigger and updated version over time.
