Abstract

This study seeks to illustrate the purposes of Islamic Sharia in Family Legislations, And how some of the modern marriages compatible with Sharia’s objectives.Additionally, it attempts to highlight how the principle of Islamic Sharia can retain the Muslims family in the era of globalisation, in which the Muslim family faces an abundance of cultural challenges. The research will interrogate Islamic heritage in order to find out the purposes of Sharia in legalizing marriage.Consequently, the study will test contemporary marriages to see if they meet the Islamic matrimonial laws. To achieve these goals, the researcher employed the inductive method to examine the marital judgments in a variety of resources in Islamic jurisprudence literature aiming to reach a general Islamic rule regarding marriage.Besides, the analytical has approach has been used to analyze the contemporary fatwas that cover different matrimonial issues.
