Abstract

This thesis aimed to explain the concept of religious experience. It takes Maryam Jameelah as an example. Showing the phases and stages she has been through, reasons made her convert to Islam, outcomes of her experience and most important issues that she highlighted. _x000D_ Methodology used in this is analytical description, it depends on classification of her life ages and describe each stage with factors influenced it. _x000D_ It mentioned also her relations with her parents and others who had influence on her. After she convert to Islam, she decided to defense Islam with all she can. This have been reflected on the theories she had in her books and article, Moreover, her writing covered critical issues in Islam, re-newing, orientalism and women’s right. On the other hand, she also criticizes Judaism and chemistry.
