This research is interested in the writings of the Moroccan sociologist Fatima Mernissi, related to clarifying the issues of Muslim women, and it seeks to reveal their interpretations of some women's issues. In order to know the extent of compatibility with those interpretations of Islamic Sharia, that its writings contains many valuable ideas about women's issues that should be dealt, showed its intellectual principles, and scientific foundations. This research sheds light on modernism, which depends on the contemporary reading of the texts of the Holy Koran, with criticizing of what needs to criticism of this thought. The four issues that research focuses on are : The issue of the hijab of Muslim women, polygamy, taking senior positions by women, Women's right to work, and finding solutions to these issues through Fatima Mernissi’s writings and to know the extent of her idea’s effects on the students of (Humanities: Social Work, History, International Affairs) at Qatar University. The research plan includes an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, I talked about modernism. The first chapter is about Fatima Mernisi’s life and her intellectual tributaries. In the second chapter, I discussed the four issues related to the research. In the third chapter, I tried to show the impact of Fatima Mernissi's writings about women and gender studies in curriculums of the students of (Humanities: Social Work, History, International Affairs) at Qatar University. The research came to a conclusion that the Moroccan sociologist Fatima Mernissi didn’t adhere to many of the Sharia rules of renewal in the Islamic heritage, and most of the same-field students in Qatar University fully agree with some of Fatima Mernissi's views.
