Abstract
This paper offers an overview of the origins and development of Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP) along with its associated academic programs. The TIIP model, first published in 2013, was designed to create a framework for integrating Islamic principles into psychological practice. Since its inception, the model has evolved and is now taught in various forms around the world. These developments have resulted in a three-level certification program for Muslim mental health practitioners, an online diploma program offered by Usul Academy, and the first graduate program in Counseling (Islamic) Psychology at the College of Islamic Studies, Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU). This paper will detail the curricula, course study plans, and objectives of these programs.
