Abstract

This paper examines the impact of Islamic banking on economic growth in member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). By examining the principles and practices of Islamic banking, the paper aims to comment on how these financial systems contribute to sustainable economic development in these countries. The scope of this study encompasses a comprehensive analysis of the current status and prospects of Islamic banking in various OIC countries. Additionally, the paper will identify the challenges and opportunities facing Islamic banking institutions and offer policy recommendations to enhance their role in driving economic growth. Through this exploration, the paper aims to provide valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and researchers interested in the nexus between Islamic finance and economic development.
