Abstract

This note outlines the Hellenic Parliament’s initiative to strengthen digital sovereignty by integrating its operations with Greece’s national Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure, Pharos. Building on years of practical experience with AI tools such as the Demosthenes speech-to-text system, it is now engaging in a historic collaboration that provides access to high-performance computing and supports the development of a Greek Large Language Model (LLM) trained on authentic parliamentary corpora. This strategic partnership aims to modernize lawmaking, enhance transparency, and improve citizen access to parliamentary information, positioning the Hellenic Parliament as a democratic innovator in the era of AI.
