Abstract
This bibliography contains recent material published on the subject of optical discs. Only selected journal articles, reports and monographs are included; news items, announcements and book reviews are excluded because of limited space. Since we intend to publish a selected bibliography as a half-yearly feature (December and June) of this journal, new items plus any other items that are omitted will be covered in future issues. Items are arranged alphabetically by author with annotations plus additional notes where appropriate. Papers presented in conferences are also excluded and a separate listing will be published at a future stage containing only papers presented on optical discs in various conferences, seminars and workshops.
