Abstract

The importance of science and technology information in technological advancement and research and development is obvious. Likewise, it contributes directly to the economic de velopment of a country. Scientists and technologists can not function properly without having access to up-to-date informa tion in their respective fields. The bulk of such information is being generated in developed countries. Providing access to this information (because of limited resources available in the developing countries) for scientists and technologists working in the developing countries, no doubt is a challenging task. Various methods practised in the dissemination of science and technology information in developing countnes are examined.
