Abstract

The research aims to investigate the use of technology-based solutions in the Islamic finance industry for regulatory and supervisory purposes. The research uses a qualitative method with an interpretive stance and abductive research logic to investigate the use of technology-based solutions in the Islamic finance industry for regulatory and supervisory purposes. The study reviews the scientific literature on RegTech and SupTech and develops a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis prototype. It applies the SWOT analysis to two smart solutions, ORION and IRSHAD, to evaluate their reliability and credibility in terms of SupTech and RegTech solutions. The study finds that both smart solutions are hypothetically reliable and credible, but the precision of results needs further testing to verify the hypothesis.
