Abstract
This paper presents the estimates of distributional effects of government fiscal policy across various income groups in the urban and rural areas of Pakistan. It is concluded that more net fiscal benefits, in the absolute sense, are received by the households as they move up in the higher income groups. However, the opposite is true i.e. households receive less net fiscal benefits in percentage terms as they move to the higher income groups.
