Abstract
The performance of multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) system was studied with respect to antenna selection over quasi-static fading channels. The coding and diversity advantage of the MIMO system was examined by using the pairwise error probability (PEP). It was shown that regardless of the underlying space-time code, the diversity gain was maintained whereas the coding gain deteriorated.
