Abstract
It has been shown that Erbium doping affects the domain structure of LiNbO3 crystals grown from congruent melt. Doping up to 5 mol% produces opposite domains for congruent crystals. Additionally, the monodomain configuration of pure stoichiometric crystal becomes polydomain with the addition of Er in the melt.
