Abstract

We prepared nanoporous carbon (NC) particles of approximately 50-nm diameter by direct carbonization of metalorganic frameworks (MOFs). The obtained MOF-derived NC (MOF-NC) particles exhibit very high biocompatibility and, hence, are promising as intracellular drug delivery carriers.
