Abstract

The beam spin asymmetry in hard electroproduction of photons was measured in the missing-mass (Mx) range upto 7 GeV. A nonzero asymmetry was observed in the exclusive domain for Mx ≤ 1.7 GeV. The observed asymmetry was attributed to the interference of the Bethe-Heitler and deeply virtual compton scattering (DVCS) process.
