Abstract

This book examines the importance of the unitization agreement as a key contractual and fiscal tool for the management of oil and gas resources. It explores the legal challenges to the development of unitization processes and procedures both within a domestic context and internationally (cross-border unitization). It also looks at the best practices and to what extent such identified practices influence unitization and the joint development of oil and gas resources.
