N2 - In typical distributed video coding, Distributed Video Coding (DVC) the side information (SI) estimation plays a significant role in DVC. Within the SI estimation there is well be co-existing regions where estimation is successful. In this work introducing SKIP mode to encode these regions is proposed, the obtained results show a significant improvement in RD performance.
