Abstract

By focusing on compressing AI models and making them both energy-efficient and cost-effective, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) can take meaningful steps toward reducing the carbon footprint of its rapidly expanding AI ecosystem. Leveraging sustainable finance, robust regulatory frameworks, and fostering innovation hubs will ensure that AI technologies contribute to green growth, aligning with the region’s vision for a sustainable future. This integrated approach not only accelerates the development of low-energy AI solutions but also attracts global investments, positioning the GCC as a leader in sustainable technological innovation. These efforts will solidify the GCC’s role in promoting green growth while advancing its economic competitiveness on the global stage.
