Handbook on the International Justice System at the United Nations

Helmut Buss, Thomas Fitschen, Thomas Laker, Christian Rohde and Santiago Villalpando in their book give an overview of the legal regime governing a relatively unknown field of international law: the Internal Justice System at the United Nations (un). The rise of the international rule of law is one of the most important features of the international legal order that has given even further rise to the proliferation of separate fields of international and public law like global constitutionalism1 and global administrative law.2 The same applies for the unrepresenting a major part of the international legal order. The efforts of the un to promote the rule of law would not be taken seriously by domestic governments if the un itself did not at least try to adhere to some rule of law standard.
