Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

The sheer size and continued growth of the global Muslim population calls for a comprehensive understanding of Muslim cultural perspectives and practices by international law makers, academics, researchers, judges, and forensic experts. Muslims make up approximately 23 percent of the world’s population, and there are more than fifty countries across the world with Muslim-majority populations. Additionally, nearly a third of the world’s Muslims live as minorities in non-Muslim states. Furthermore, an estimated 3.3 million Muslims live in the United States of America, and Islam is the fastest growing religion both in the world and in the United States.
