Diffusion and surface processes during colour removal from effluent by carbon adsorption.

Many commercial systems currently use activated charcoal as an adsorbent to remove dyes from waste water, particularly in the textile industry. The aim of this study is to assess the ability of activated carbon to absorb a basic dye, Victoria Blue dye Diffusion and surface processes have been studied and the variables include agitation, particle size and initial dye concentration.
