Abstract
This book explores the relation between Translation/Interpreting and social activism in the context of practice, teaching, and research methodologies. It combines individual and collective experiences of activist translators and interpreters, with analyses of past and present translational activism in the media, the courtroom, the class-room, civil society, academia, and in situations of conflict under dictatorships or wars of occupation.
