Solar Resources and Applications: A Multifaceted Approach for Environment, Energy, and Climate

Project: Applied Research

Project Details

Abstract

This project advances solar radiation research and applications in Qatar by integrating data analysis and forecasting to support sustainable development. Through an extensive network of solar monitoring stations and advanced measurement facilities, we analyse solar radiation patterns and atmospheric parameters, assessing their impact on energy, climate, and urban planning. The outcomes of this research include the development of precise solar forecasting models, a detailed solar cadaster for urban planners, and an accessible web portal for data dissemination. Additionally, our work supports agriculture and environmental research, contributing to informed decision-making for a more resilient and sustainable Qatar.
