Abstract
Re-Defining Resilient Next-Generation AI Data Center in Arid Regions, is a focused 2-day international workshop designed to bring together 10-15 global Data Center relevant experts alongside 40+ local researchers and stakeholders. The workshop will feature three keynote presentations to prepare the groundwork for the roundtable discussions, focused breakout sessions, and moderated panels aimed at addressing critical challenges and exploring innovative solutions for next-generation AI Data Center infrastructure in arid environments. Key thematic areas include the advancement of physical infrastructure and architectural design for hyperscale, AI-driven and edge computing Data Centers, enhancement of sustainability and energy efficiency through predictive cooling and thermal management techniques, and the optimization of Data Center performance considering emerging concerns around data sovereignty, privacy, and security. The workshop aims to foster a collaborative platform that promotes the exchange of knowledge, facilitates the development of implementable recommendations, establishes a sustained network of experts to lead future research and development initiatives, and inspires new research initiatives and strategic projects addressing the unique challenges and opportunities posed by data centers in harsh climates.
