Project: Applied Research

Project Details

Abstract

This research project delves into a comprehensive analysis of Qatar's economic diversification compared to other prominent economies within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, and Oman. The central focus lies in identifying policy avenues for Qatar to bolster its diversification efforts. Specifically, we scrutinize the pivotal role of tax policies, research and development (R&D) strategies, trade policies, and the often-overlooked influence of central bank policies on advancing economic diversification.
