Air Quality Modeling and Forecasting: A Multi-Hazard Early Warning System and Policy Evaluation Framework

Project: Applied Research

Project Details

Abstract

This project aims to improve air quality forecasting and pollution management in Qatar and the region. It will develop a high-resolution air quality modeling system to predict pollution levels and dust storms, helping protect public health. The research will also map pollution hotspots, study the chemical processes behind air pollution, and model how pollutants spread in urban areas. By providing real-time forecasts and data-driven insights, this project supports better environmental policies, urban planning, and sustainable development, aligning with Qatar’s vision for a cleaner, healthier future.
