Project Details
Abstract
Qatar’s rapid growth and lifestyle changes have increased chronic diseases and healthcare costs, with current systems remaining reactive. In line with Qatar National Vision 2030, this project aims to build an AI-driven healthcare surveillance and proactive care recommendation platform for smart environments (homes, workplaces, communities). The system will integrate data from wearables, IoT devices, EHRs, and sensors, applying advanced AI methods (deep learning, graph neural networks, reinforcement learning) to detect risks, forecast outcomes, and provide tailored interventions. A digital decision maker will simulate individual health trajectories, while a recommendation engine will offer proactive lifestyle and medical guidance. Alongside technical development, ethical, legal, and policy frameworks will be established. The project will prototype and validate the platform in real-world settings. Expected outcomes include a functional prototype, validated AI models, personalized recommendation tools, and national guidelines—ultimately reducing healthcare costs, improving health outcomes, and supporting Qatar’s sustainable, preventative healthcare goals.
