Advancing the Clinical Practice of Islamic Psychology Through Education and Research

Project: Applied Research

Project Details

Abstract

This project aims to advance Islamic Psychology (IP) education and training through publishing a collection of articles from a February 2024 academic symposium at CIS-HBKU. The symposium brought together Islamic scholars to address critical aspects of IP development, including international program surveys, practitioner scopes, field definitions, supervision, training needs, licensure, and program development. The publication addresses the emerging phase of IP practitioner education and provides guidelines for scholars and institutions developing applied IP programs internationally. The project requires funding for translating non-English articles to English, reviewing submissions, editing, and potentially securing open access publication for the book.
