Research Interests
Dr. Seda Özalkan works at the intersection of Islamic political thought, philosophy, education, and social theory. Her research brings together Islamic approaches to ontology, epistemology, ethics, and governance to develop integrated understandings of human development, moral order, and social formation, drawing especially on Ibn Khaldun. She uses these foundations to explore Islamic perspectives on society and global order and to propose alternative, decolonized research paradigms that challenge modern reductionist models in the human sciences and inform contemporary debates in philosophy of education and politics.
