    Biography

    Dr. Mohammed Al-Humaiqani is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) whose research focuses on climate resilience, sustainability transitions, and the built environment. His work integrates systems thinking, resilience science, and evidence-based policy to develop innovative frameworks, resilience indicator systems, climate risk assessment methodologies, and decision-support tools that strengthen critical infrastructure, urban systems, and national resilience under growing climate and sustainability challenges. His research spans resilience assessment, sustainable infrastructure, climate change adaptation, sustainable urban development, critical infrastructure resilience, nature-based solutions, circular economy, sustainability assessment, life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon management, environmental product declarations (EPDs), environmental, social, and governance (ESG), sustainable construction materials, and emerging technologies such as additive manufacturing and 3D concrete printing. He also contributes to the development of Qatar's Resilience through interdisciplinary research aimed at translating scientific knowledge into practical resilience strategies and policy solutions. Dr. Al-Humaiqani serves as a climate policy adviser and UNFCCC climate negotiator, bridging scientific research with international climate policy and implementation. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Environment Engineering, an MSc in Civil Engineering, and a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering. A Certified Life-Cycle Executive (CLE), member of the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA), member of the STRN-NEST Network, and Associate Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (A.M. ASCE), he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals and serves as a reviewer for high-impact journals in sustainability, resilience, climate change, environmental management, and the built environment. His research is dedicated to advancing resilient, low-carbon, and sustainable societies through innovative, interdisciplinary, and policy-relevant solutions that support climate adaptation, infrastructure resilience, and sustainable development.
