Biography
Dr. Manal Alsalama is a Research Fellow at QEERI/HBKU, where she is part of the Materials’ Unit. She earned her bachelor’s degree in physics from King Saud University, a master’s degree in Materials Science and Technology from Qatar University, and a PhD in Sustainable Energy from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, specializing in advanced nano-bulk materials for thermoelectric applications.
Her research focuses on thermoelectric materials and self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) for energy conversion. She is particularly interested in developing novel bulk nanostructures to improve energy conversion efficiency and ensure long-term stability under real-world conditions. Her work aligns with QEERI’s mission to deliver sustainable energy and environmental solutions and supports the Materials Unit’s goal of advancing innovative materials and methods to address energy, water, and environmental challenges in Qatar and other arid regions.
