Biography
Dr. Christos Anagnostopoulos is the founder, director, and co-chairholder of the UNESCO Chair on Governance and Social Responsibility in Sport. He is an Associate Professor in Sport Management at the CSE, where he teaches the MSc in Sport and Entertainment Management, a joint program with the University of South Carolina. He is also a visiting Professor II in SportManagement at Molde University College (Norway) and an Adjunct Professor in Sport Management at the University of New Brunswick (Canada).
He is an editorial board member in eight international scientific journals related to sport management, the associate editor for Managing Sport and Leisure, and has more than 120 scientific publications (Google Scholar: h-index-34, i10-index-59). Since 2018, he has secured almost three million US dollars from leading and/or participating in research projects dealing with sport governance, social responsibility, and entrepreneurship in sport.
He consults and/or works closely with various organizations and institutions, including Generation Amazing Foundation (GA), Cyprus Sport Organization (CSO), the Polish Institute for Sport Governance (ISG), the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA), the Delegation of the European Union to the State of Qatar, the UNESCO Gulf States and Yemen Office in Doha, the GWC Logistics among others.
He is an elected executive board member (Treasurer) of the World Association for Sport Management.
