Dr. Azhar Siddique is an Environmental Health Scientist at QEERI, Hamad Bin Khalifa University. His research focuses on the health effects of air and water quality, particularly in regions with challenging climates. He primarily studies outdoor pollutants such as particulate matter (PM2.5) and black carbon, as well as indoor air quality in academic institutions and workplaces. Dr. Siddique leads the QEERI Air Quality Research Station Network (AQRN) program, providing vital data that supports atmospheric research and informs public health policies.

In addition to his research, Dr. Siddique is deeply involved in bioaerosol studies and personal exposure assessments, bridging the gap between environmental science and public health. He is also critical in mentoring emerging scientists and spearheading capacity-building initiatives. Dr. Siddique’s commitment to advancing the field extends to his editorial work as a guest editor for the Atmosphere journal’s special issues on Air Quality and Health from 2021, where he curates cutting-edge research that shapes the discourse in environmental health. He actively raises awareness of environmental challenges through community outreach and advocates for healthier living environments.
