The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) was established with a vision to enrich society in Qatar and across the wider world with transformative educational experiences that bridge disciplinary boundaries and offer the academic community opportunities to engage in innovative research and collaboration. We aspire to nurture a diverse body of academically grounded and socially responsible global citizens, whose versatility will enable them to navigate the complexities of today’s world and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Our academic portfolio encompasses a prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Humanities and Social Sciences, complemented by four cutting-edge interdisciplinary Master's degrees:

  • MA in Translation for the Creative Industries
  • MA in Intercultural Communication
  • MA in Digital Humanities and Societies
  • MA in Women, Society and Development

In addition to the academic programs, the Translation Training Center (TTC) of the college offers high-level and quality professional translation and interpreting services. Also, the Language Center located in the college, offers a range of language programs.
